Black screen.
Title appears - the noise of a radio being tuned in plays. It picks up a signal. Title begins to fade out.
A panning camera is going down the wall in front of a desk revealing strange scribbles on paper and science apparatuses. The camera pans out slightly.
Radio: "Temperatures have reached new records this week. Experts say ‘the time has come. We were warned this would happen’. Global warming is here.
Radio: ‘We’ve failed to stop it’
The camera is now looking at the desk front on.
There is a chair on the left side of the desk. Gordon runs on from the right of the screen and jumps on the chair holding a sheet of paper. The chair glides into the middle of the desk, while spinning Gordon around in a full circle. Gordon is kicking his legs in glee and stops himself abruptly with both hands slamming on the desk.
Gordon: "I got I got it I got it!"
Gordon swipes half the stuff off his desk onto the floor including the radio with his right hand and slams a piece of paper on the table with his left hand.
CUT TO a straight-on, mid-level view of the left wall. We see Gordon’s shadow projected against the wall, bent over the shadow of glassware on it. Gordon drops a powdery substance into the flask. There’s a flash of light. The shadows in the room disappear for a single second. CUT to STRAIGHT ON VIEW of the wall with Gordon in full view – he has recoiled from the explosion in fear, eyes closed. When he opens his eyes, he puts on a brave face but its clear his failure is beginning to worry him.
The camera returns to the desk, and Gordon sits back down. Dejected, he moves a few flasks around. Then he looks up, suddenly bright. He has an idea related to the chemicals. His pupils fluttering furiously with thoughts.
Gordon: "Yes yes yes – this will work!"
He grabs a piece of paper from the pile and knocks down a small calendar. CUT TO a close up of the calendar. The calender reads ‘Days till I solve global warming’.
Gordan begins to quickly write something down. He stops abruptly and holds the paper up. He nods his head.

CUT to a close up of flask being filled with two test tubes full of different coloured liquids on the right of the desk with Gordan in the background. He begins to mix the substances together in an exciting manner. He pouring the mixed liquid into a test tube and puts in a test tube holder.
Gordan pulls out his desk draw and pours everything on the table. The draw is full of bits and bobs you would expect a scientist would have. The pile is a blur of rubbish that the audience can’t quite see in detail.
CUT to a back view of Gordon as he starts pulling all kinds of materials together out of the pile . Gordan begins to grab flasks of liquid and adding items from the pile, zoom in on the flasks when he quickley puts them down.
First flask is a green liquid wrapped in sello tape with a fizzy sugar lump floating on the bottom.
Seconds flask is a blue substance with a toy soldier and paper clips sunk on the bottom,
Third flask is a yellow liquid with a slice of pineapple, a small umbrella and a cherry on the bottom (cocktail).
CUT TO him casual burning a rubber duck attached to a fork.
He grabs all the flask and puts them in a large square bowl he adds the chemicals in the test tube he mixed before and picks it up carefully with oven gloves and puts it in the microwave. Before shutting the door he puts the rubber duck on top, zoom in on the deformed floating duck.
He turns on the microwave.
Camera looking up at Gordon’s face with Gordon looking down.
Camera looking down at a toy car on desk, Gordon is playing with a toy car.
Sound of the microwave going .
Close up of Gordon’s eyes looking surprised and excited!
Gordan opens the microwave a pulls out a glowing green sphere. He holds it above his head in front of him.
Gordan glasses glitters by the light from the spere. He starts to smile.
Mum: Gordan your dinners ready.
Gordan drops the sphere. It smashes on the floor, gordan cringes by the loud noise.
Gordan turns around to reveal the back of the basement. a door lies in the middle of the wall with a washing machine and tumble dryer to the right and a washing basket and a small clothes line with bras and large pants hanging up to the left.
Gordan: (shouting) mum I just solved global warming.
Cut to the back of the room aiming at the door.
Mum: That’s nice dear but it getting cold
Zoom in on gordans face
Gordan: But but
Mum: Don’t make me say it again.
He quickly drags himself to the door mutting every step of the way. He slams the door. Washing powder falls of the self.
END.
